Project Manager


We are a leading and innovative fintech company, focused on the payment industry with offices in Bulgaria and the UK. We have built a team of passionate and experienced professionals, whose shared mission is to change the world of digital payment solutions.

Our clients are merchants offering services and products mainly online and willing to accept card payments. Paynetics is a Principal Member of VISA and MasterCard. We have launched the first mobile payment app (Phyre) in Bulgaria, the first utilities payment app (BillButler) in the UK, one of the fist automated loyalty solutions in the US and a game changing payment acceptance solution with patent pending (Phos).

Presently we are seeking a motivated, adaptable and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team.

What you will be doing

  • Manage different projects (legislation and compliance requirements, third party providers integrations, Program Managers integrations, new features and improvements)
  • Identify and manage projects scope, objectives and critical success factors by gaining a thorough understanding of the business requirements
  • Brake down SOW to small development tasks, communicate expected deliverables and manage tasks execution
  • Manage contacts and expectations with Program Managers, PSPs, vendors, suppliers, clients (internal and external) to ensure that projects remains on track
  • Accountable for projects go live
  • Manage changes and improvements in projects scope, identify issues and drive for resolution
  • Lead the identification of critical dependencies and risks early in the project life cycle
  • Proactively manage and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies, and escalate when needed
  • Liaise between Product Management, Development and business stakeholders to foster quality communications
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about the progress and adjustments needed

Who you are

  • University degree
  • 2+ years of experience in managing projects in the payment industry
  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • PMP, PRINCE 2 or other Project Management qualification would be considered an advantage
  • Strong people management skills
  • Sound organizational skills with excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and project planning skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and operate under tight time constraints
  • Fluent English – written and spoken
