Currently we are looking for a Legal Advisor to join our Legal Department. This role would ideally suit someone with experience in payments and data protection, who is looking to continue their career as a legal professional in a high-performing company.
YOU ARE GOOD FUNCTIONAL FIT IF YOU:
- Have experience in payments and have worked in a bank, payment institution or electronic money institution.
- Have experience in drafting agreements in the field of payments, implementing frameworks and policies across a company or department.
- Have been responsible for handling data protection matters and other legal aspects
- Have comprehensive communication skills and you are able to distil complex and cumbersome regulation into understandable English.
- Have knowledge of legal regulations (domestic and EU) concerning payments and data protection and want to expand your expertise into the field of payments.
- Are driven to innovations and you are able to work independently, while taking a consultative approach in an area that can be seen as inhibitive to business.
- You are easy to work with, and want to work in a fun, fast-growing but demanding young company.
OUR REQUIREMENTS & SKILLSET:
- University degree in Law.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in international company or in a legal firm. Previous position in the finance/banking industry will be considered as a major advantage.
- An ability to think logically, independently and creatively to achieve the objectives of the business and deliver legal advice in the appropriate commercial context and within tight timeframes.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills, ability to influence and persuade in decision-making processes both internally and externally.
- Sound organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and spoken communications skills, both in English and Bulgarian.
- Expertise in financial/banking/fintech industry will be considered as a significant advantage.
- Experience with international compliance programs will be considered as a plus.
