We are expanding our development teams and are looking for a Chargebacks Specialist to work on our core projects, developing new functionality within the Paynetics system. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Technical and Product Development teams to deliver innovative, high-performance, and reliable API-driven solutions for our fast-evolving, market-leading products.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Review chargebacks and communicate their resolution with merchants and internal partners on all stages of the dispute
  • Handle chargebacks on all stages for both card schemes and ensure positive outcomes
  • Ensure all SLAs are achieved with little or no supervision
  • Lead external communication with acquiring partners to ensure all industry regulations are delivered in the chargeback responses
  • Collaborating with Visa/MasterCard Dispute Resolution Centers and the processor’s systems
  • Lead internal checks on processes of chargebacks

Our Requirements and Skillset:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in chargebacks, disputes management, card operations, or a similar role within the banking/payment industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid understanding of card payment processes and card business operations
  • Good knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, and other card scheme dispute rules and regulations
  • Familiarity with local/domestic regulations and procedures related to dispute and chargeback management
  • Excellent operational skills with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple cases efficiently
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility
  • Critical thinking mindset with the ability to identify risks, inconsistencies, and process improvement opportunities
  • Team-oriented personality with a results-driven and proactive approach
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
