As part of our growing development team, we are seeking a PHP Team Lead who will lead and support a team of developers while overseeing processes and resources. You will play a key role in building and evolving new projects and products, combining people management with active participation in development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and support a team of PHP developers, ensuring effective task prioritization, workload distribution, and timely delivery of projects
- Actively participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing, onboarding, mentoring, performance management, and professional development of team members
- Provide strong technical leadership by sharing best practices, offering architectural guidance, and supporting problem-solving across the team
- Review code regularly to ensure high quality, maintainability, performance, and adherence to coding standards; provide constructive and actionable feedback
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to design and develop new products and features in line with the company’s development roadmap
- Ensure team alignment with the company’s technology stack, architectural vision, and long-term technical strategy
- Monitor progress of key projects and development processes, identifying risks and proactively addressing issues
- Remain hands-on in development by contributing to codebase, implementing complex features, and supporting critical technical tasks
- Gather and analyze stakeholder and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and technologies
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and guide the adoption of relevant tools, frameworks, and best practices within the team
Our Requirements & Skillset:
- At least 3 years of experience in a Team Lead or similar leadership role, managing development teams and delivery processes
- Proven experience working in Scrum/Agile environments, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining microservices-based architecture
- Strong experience with PHP development and hands-on work with MVC frameworks, preferably Symfony
- Practical experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization
- Deep understanding of OOP principles, data structures, and algorithms, with the ability to apply them to real-world problems
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of application security concepts, particularly related to mobile or API-driven applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills, ensuring clarity in technical designs and processes
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring, motivating, and developing team members
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, capable of balancing technical, business, and team considerations
- Nice to have: experience with Go and/or Flutter
